Advisory Bodies

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) is assisted in its activities by a variety of advisory bodies. These bodies also facilitate the exchange of health technology information within Canada.

CADTH acts as secretariat for the following groups: 

• Policy Forum
• Health Technology Analysis Exchange

Committees and working groups that provide strategic advice to CADTH:

• Drug Policy Advisory Committee (DPAC)
• DPAC Optimal Use Working Group
• DPAC Formulary Working Group

Committees that provide ongoing expert advice to CADTH:

• Canadian Drug Expert Committee (CDEC)
• Health Technology Expert Review Panel

CADTH also develops expert review panels, as required, to support specific projects. Information on these panels is available on the web pages relating to the projects. Examples include:

• Medical Isotopes and Imaging Modalities Advisory Committee (MIIMAC)
• CADTH MRI Expert Advisory Panel
• Therapeutic Review Panel (TRP)
