Ms. Bernadette Preun

Bernadette Preun is the Assistant Deputy Minister of Provincial Programs and Services at Manitoba Health. This portfolio includes responsibility for Manitoba’s drug programs, capital infrastructure and information/communication technology, blood programs, the province’s psychiatric hospital and public lab, and administration of the Protection for Person’s in Care Act, Appeals Board and Mental Health Review Board. Prior to becoming Assistant Deputy Minister, Ms. Preun worked in public, non-profit, and for-profit health care delivery settings in a variety of different government positions in Manitoba and Ontario. She has had more than 15 years of experience in senior management positions in health care delivery and government. Ms. Preun has a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Manitoba. She became a member of the CADTH Board of Directors in February 2008.
