Student Travel Awards Program Criteria
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be registered as a full-time student at a Canadian University or College
- Submit a letter of recommendation from their professor
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have an abstract accepted for presentation at the 2010 CADTH Symposium
- Submitted an abstract to the 2010 CADTH Symposium
- Study in a field relevant to CADTH’s work
- Have not previously received a Travel Award from CADTH (including previous years Student Travel Awards)
Deadline for applications: December 15, 2010
Eligible Expenses include:
- Airfare, train, bus or private vehicle
- Accommodation
- Incidentals including Taxis or Parking
- Symposium Registration to a maximum of the Early Registration rate for the applicant’s category
- Workshop fees to a maximum of $200
Requests for Travel Awards must contain:
- Declaration of educational status
- Brief summary of research interests and accomplishments
- Description of anticipated benefits from attending the Symposium
- Estimate of expenses
- Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s professor/advisor
The maximum allowable Travel Award is $1,500. CADTH may elect to award only a portion of the funding requested dependent on factors such as the number of requests for Travel Awards received and a review of estimated costs. CADTH may not be able to fund all requests.
