Award of Excellence

The Award

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) Award of Excellence recognizes and celebrates individuals whose outstanding achievements have significantly advanced the fields of health technology assessment, evidence-based drug reviews, or optimal technology utilization in Canada. The winner of this award will receive paid travel and accommodation, and complimentary registration to attend and speak at the CADTH Symposium.

Eligibility

The award is open to individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to health technology assessment, evidence-based drug reviews, or optimal technology utilization in Canada. This award can be given posthumously. Employees of CADTH are not eligible for this award.

Eligible contributions include but are not limited to:

  • Improving the science and methodology of health technology assessment and related fields
  • Producing a significant body of evidence-based analysis and advice that has contributed to the quality and sustainability of Canada’s health system and the health of Canadians
  • Championing the uptake and use of evidence-based information about health technologies in policy, and administrative and clinical decision-making.
