CADTH Presents to the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control Network Steering Committee
May 06, 2009
New techniques for cervical cell collection, aiming to improve the detection of cervical precursor lesions, provide a platform for human papillomavirus testing. The rapid evolution of these technologies and the proprietary nature of the available systems required an objective review of their clinical utility and resource implications in cervical screening programs. This presentation was made by CADTH to the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control Network Steering Committee on April 8, 2009. The presentation provided a summary of findings from the CADTH Health Technology Assessment report Liquid-Based Techniques for Cervical Cancer Screening: Systematic Review and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, published on February 27, 2008.
