Final Reports from CADTH's Therapeutic Review on Biologics for Rheumatoid Arthritis
July 28, 2010
As part of its therapeutic review pilot project, the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health has conducted a therapeutic review to evaluate the comparative effectiveness, harms, and cost-effectiveness of biologic response modifier agents for adults with rheumatoid arthritis.
Two final reports from the therapeutic review project are now available:
- A clinical and economic overview report, and
- Final recommendations from the Therapeutic Review Panel on Biological Response Modifier Agents for Adults with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
A therapeutic review is a review of the most recent evidence available in the public domain regarding a single drug, a drug class, or a drug category. The final outputs include recommendations, advice, or a report and conclusions.
The final reports on CADTH’s second therapeutic review topic - Third-Line Therapy for Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Inadequately Controlled with Metformin and a Sulfonylurea – will be available in the coming weeks.
