Reports
In keeping pace with an evolving environment and providing timely information to health care systems in Canada, the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) has undertaken a pilot project to appraise the comparative clinical benefits, limitations, and safety considerations of 1.5 Tesla (T) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners and 3.0 T MRI scanners.
To help inform decisions on the purchasing and use of 1.5 T MRI and 3.0 T MRI scanners, the CADTH MRI Expert Advisory Panel produced a guidance report after considering the following:
- CADTH’s completed research.
- Manufacturer information.
- Clinical and technical expertise.
- Public values and preferences.
