About Therapeutic Reviews
A CADTH therapeutic review is a review of the most recent evidence available in the public domain regarding a single drug, a drug class, or a drug category. Generally, these are drugs, drug classes, or drug categories that have been available in the marketplace for some time. The scope and depth of a therapeutic review is determined by the jurisdictions and by CADTH. The final outputs of the CADTH therapeutic reviews include clinical and economic review reports, and recommendation reports.
CADTH first conducted therapeutic reviews as a pilot project in 2009.
The Therapeutic Review Framework describes, in detail, the Therapeutic Review process. From time to time, CADTH may amend this framework in consultation with the participating Drug Plans and stakeholders, if required.
