Pilot
The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) conducted a therapeutic review pilot project to evaluate the comparative effectiveness, harms, and cost-effectiveness of drugs in two topic areas - biological response modifier agents for adults with rheumatoid arthritis and third-line therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes inadequately controlled with metformin and a sulfonylurea.
To help health care providers, policy makers, and consumers make well-informed decisions, our completed research and resulting recommendations are available in a series of reports that provide:
- evidence-based recommendations for optimal prescribing and use developed by CADTH’s Therapeutic Review Panel
- an examination of clinical effectiveness, harms and cost-effectiveness based on the most recent evidence available in the public domain
