The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), through its Canadian Optimal Medication Prescribing and Utilization Service (COMPUS), will be producing a series of optimal therapy reports on the insulin analogues component of our diabetes management topic area. We are currently seeking your feedback on our economic report listed below and providing you with a final report on current utilization.
CADTH invites you to provide input on its draft report: Economic Evaluation of Insulin Analogues for the Treatment of Patients With Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Canada.
The objective of this economic assessment is to determine the cost-effectiveness of insulin analogues relative to human insulin in the management of individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in Canada.
CADTH recognizes that stakeholder input is an important part of the COMPUS program. Your input will assist COMPUS and the COMPUS Expert Review Committee in making recommendations toward optimal prescribing of rapid-acting and long-acting insulin analogues.

Today, COMPUS released the Optimal Therapy Report - Insulin Utilization Report: Current Utilization of Insulin in Canada. The purpose of this report is to explore how human insulin and insulin analogues are currently used in Canada. This report is one of a series of COMPUS Optimal Therapy Reports on the insulin analogues component of our diabetes management topic area.
