Diabetes Management Topic Area

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), through its Canadian Optimal Medication Prescribing and Utilization Service (COMPUS), is producing a series of optimal therapy reports on the insulin analogues component of our diabetes management topic area.

Meta-Analyses and GRADE Reports

Thank you for your feedback on the rapid- and long-acting insulin analogue meta-analyses reports as well as the Grades of Recommendation Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) Report.

The final Optimal Therapy Reports are now available on the CADTH web site.

Current Practice Analysis Report

The Current Practice Analysis Report for the prescribing and use of insulin analogues, a final COMPUS Optimal Therapy Report, has been posted on the CADTH web site.

Next Steps for the Insulin Analogue Projects

The COMPUS Expert Review Committee (CERC) has met to discuss and vote on proposed recommendations on the insulin analogue products. Stakeholders will have an opportunity to review and provide feedback on these draft recommendations, which are targeted for release in March 2008.
