The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), through its Canadian Optimal Medication Prescribing and Utilization Service (COMPUS), invites all interested parties to provide feedback on its Draft Gap Analysis and Key Messages for the Prescribing and Use of Insulin Analogues report. The consultation period for this document ends Friday, October 17, 2008.
This report presents gaps identified in the prescribing and use of insulin analogues. These gaps were identified by comparing results from two analyses - the Current Utilization of Insulin Products in Canada and the Current Practice Analysis: A Qualitative Analysis of Canadian Physician Perceptions and Use of Insulin Analogues - together with the Draft Optimal Therapy Recommendations for the Prescribing and Use of Insulin Analogues developed by the COMPUS Expert Review Committee (CERC). The report also identifies key messages designed to reach target audiences and help effect change to optimize the prescribing and use of insulin analogues.
Your feedback is important, and will assist COMPUS in the development of outreach tools and interventions designed to help health care providers and consumers address these gaps.
To provide your input, please log in here to access our feedback forms. Step-by-step instructions are included to help you complete your input. The deadline for feedback is Friday, October 17, 2008.
COMPUS thanks all participants who provided feedback for the Draft Optimal Therapy Recommendations for the Prescribing and Use of Insulin Analogues report during the consultation period. Your valuable input helps COMPUS and CERC finalize their recommendations toward optimal prescribing and use of rapid-acting and long-acting insulin analogues.
