Diabetes Management Topic Area

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), through its Canadian Optimal Medication Prescribing and Utilization Service (COMPUS), is producing a series of optimal therapy reports on the insulin analogues component of our diabetes management topic area. Today, an additional final report has been posted on our web site:

Current Utilization Report

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health. Current Utilization of Insulin Products in Canada. Optimal Therapy Reports − COMPUS 2008;2(5) has been re-released. After discussion with the COMPUS Expert Review Committee, the report was revised to include additional data received from IMS Health Consulting Services. The purpose of this report was to explore how human insulin and insulin analogues are currently used in Canada.

CADTH will soon be inviting you to provide input on its Draft Optimal Therapy Recommendations Report on Insulin Analogues. This report is currently being reviewed by our COMPUS Expert Review and COMPUS Advisory Committees.
