The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), through its COMPUS program, released an Optimal Therapy Report on Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) relating to the economic component of the PPI project.

This report includes: economic models and conclusions for the treatment of dyspepsia; and gastroesophageal reflux disease-related heartburn and the prevention of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug-induced gastrointestinal complications.

Next Steps
COMPUS will post intervention tools for implementation of COMPUS key messages in April and May 2007.
