Site Architecture

The CADTH Home Page is divided into three major areas of navigation, indicated on the screenshot as A, B, and C.

Area “A” contains links to corporate information and CADTH program areas, in three major groupings (indicated as 1, 2, and 3), with links displayed in full. Group 1 consists of five main sections with drop-down menus. To use the drop-down menus, simply roll over the main menus and scroll down to the topic of interest. Click to enter. Group 2 in the top-right area contains useful links to the Home Page, Sitemap, Advanced Search, Extranet, Contact Us, and French version of the site.

Area “B” displays News and Events.

Area “C” is the footer menu that contains links to Top of Page, Privacy Policy, Feedback, and Terms of Use.

These three major areas of navigation are consistent throughout the entire web site.

Landing Pages

The landing page is the first page the visitor sees when he or she enters different sections of the web site. There is a navigation panel with sub-menus located on the left-hand side of all of the landing pages. (See Area “D”.) Some of the links (Area "D1") will expand to take the web user to the relevant content. For example, clicking on “Common Drug Review” from the Home Page will take the visitor to the program’s initial landing page. Clicking on “Advisory Committees” will offer the visitor more options to explore.
