The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Directorate of CADTH is interested in receiving topic proposals for the assessment of drugs and health technologies. To be considered, topic proposals should be linked with health policy development or decision making in the Canadian publicly funded health care system (ministry of health, regional health authority, hospital, etc.). Any proposal that aims to facilitate the appropriate and effective utilization of drugs and health technologies within health care systems across Canada will be considered.

Health Technology Reports represent CADTH’s most comprehensive assessments of drugs as well as health care technologies and services. These reports examine more mature interventions, for which there may be a larger and higher quality body of evidence available. Rigorous HTA reports require significant resources to produce; accordingly, all topic proposals received will be evaluated based on priorities set by CADTH’s advisory committee members. The prioritization of topics occurs twice per year. Please note that it takes approximately 12 months to complete an assessment once it has been selected. A timeline for the next prioritization cycle is shown below. All Technology Reports are available online.

Following your topic submission, a representative from the HTA Directorate will contact you for further specifics on your proposal. For more information about other HTA services and products, contact the CADTH Liaison Officer for your jurisdiction.
