2023 Call for Nominations: CADTH Post-Market Drug Evaluation Advisory Committee

CADTH is seeking nominations for 2 clinician members for the CADTH Post-Market Drug Evaluation (PMDE) Advisory Committee. As part of the PMDE program, the advisory committee is a multidisciplinary group that provides credible, strategic PMDE advice and expertise to CADTH on queries, strategic initiatives, and key priority areas. The advisory committee will also identify and support opportunities for stakeholder engagement in the program and promote the PMDE work of the program.

If you have significant expertise in the Canadian health care system, are knowledgeable on the topic of PMDE and/or real-world evidence, are interested in helping support health care decision-makers in making informed choices about the safety and effectiveness of post-market drugs, and are passionate about ensuring that the Canadian health care system is the best it can be, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications and Eligibility

The PMDE Advisory Committee clinician members represent clinicians’ interests. They have experience or knowledge of PMDE and reimbursement policy. Ideally, the clinician members have experience working on committees.

Time Commitment

The advisory committee will meet on a quarterly basis. The time commitment is approximately 1 day to 2 days every 3 months, which includes time preparing for and participating in PMDE Advisory Committee meetings.

Members are eligible to receive an honorarium in accordance with the CADTH remuneration policy. Refer to the PMDE Advisory Committee chair and member role descriptions for more information. Expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with CADTH policy.

Term of Appointment

PMDE Advisory Committee members are appointed for a term of 3 years. Terms may be renewed once at the discretion of CADTH’s President and CEO.

Who Can Submit a Nomination?

Nominations may be submitted on the candidate’s behalf or interested candidates may nominate themselves. If you meet the qualifications we seek, or know someone who does, we invite you to submit a nomination.

The following materials must be submitted in support of PMDE nominations:

  • a completed statement of interest and qualifications, filled out and saved to your computer so it can be uploaded to the Nomination Form
  • the nominee’s curriculum vitae in either Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
  • a completed online nomination form

All materials must be submitted through our online form.

Note: You cannot save the nomination form midway through the process. However, the form will not time out if your internet browser remains open. Therefore, please ensure you have completed all the required materials and are ready to submit before you begin filling in the nomination form.

Nomination Process

Nominations must be received no later than Monday, April 24, 2023. All nominees will receive a confirmation of receipt email. While CADTH thanks all nominees for their interest, only those under further consideration in the process will be contacted personally by email.
