Key Message

Five systematic reviews, 22 randomized controlled trials, and seven non-randomized studies were identified regarding the clinical effectiveness of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or acetaminophen for the management of pain in patients undergoing surgical third molar extraction.
