Yes, you can be nominated for more than 1 role. However, you will have to complete separate nominations for each role to which you apply.
All CADTH committee members are required to fully disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Our conflict of interest policy is intended to ensure and maintain CADTH’s high ethical standards, reputation, and integrity. Once a nominee is selected for the short list, a conflict of interest disclosure form will be required to be considered by the selection panel.
Even if you have previously submitted a conflict of interest disclosure form, a new, updated disclosure form will be required if you are selected for the short list to be considered by the selection panel.
A conflict of interest is any situation in which personal, occupational, professional, or financial considerations, either direct or indirect, may affect or compromise, or appear to affect or compromise, an individual’s objectivity, fairness, or professional judgment in carrying out their duties as a member of the board of directors or a member of an advisory or expert committee.
Having a conflict of interest does not automatically exclude a nominee from consideration. Understanding the nature and scope of conflicts is a component of the selection process.
The time commitment will vary depending on the role you are interested in:
Members may be required to travel for meetings and are expected to come to meetings prepared. More details are available in the terms of reference or charter for each role.
Meetings are generally held in person in Ottawa or Toronto, depending on the committee. Meetings are occasionally held via teleconference or videoconference. Please refer to the details of the specific role for which you wish to be nominated. Please note that all meetings are currently being held by videoconference.
Yes, travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with CADTH’s travel policy.
Members are generally appointed for a term of 3 years. Terms may be renewed once at the discretion of CADTH’s president and CEO.
Members may receive an honorarium in accordance with CADTH Remuneration Policy. Expenses are reimbursed in accordance with CADTH Travel Policy.

As part of the selection process, some nominees may be invited to participate in an interview and their references may be contacted. All nominees will be notified by email once the selection process concludes, which is expected to be July 29, 2022.
