News and Events

After carefully considering the evolving situation with COVID-19, and keeping in mind the Public Health Agency of Canada’s advice on mass gatherings during the outbreak, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person conference, the CADTH Symposium, scheduled to be held in Toronto from April 18 to 21, 2020. We will share more information as it becomes available. Please keep an eye on our CADTH Symposium website.

CADTH is pleased to announce that the Canadian Pain Task Force online consultation is now open. The Canadian Pain Task Force is seeking input from all Canadians to improve how we understand, prevent, and manage pain in Canada. This consultation is open to all Canadians with thoughts and ideas on how to more effectively address pain. We encourage you to share the online consultation with others.

Drug Reimbursement Recommendations

CADTH recently issued the following CADTH Canadian Drug Expert Committee (CDEC) drug reimbursement recommendations:

• vortioxetine hydrobromide (Trintellix) for major depressive disorder in adults
• upadacitinib (Rinvoq) for rheumatoid arthritis
• tafamidis (Vyndaqel) for transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis.

CADTH recently issued the following CADTH pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR) Expert Review Committee (pERC) drug reimbursement recommendations:

• atezolizumab (Tecentriq) for small cell lung cancer
• trastuzumab emtansine (Kadcyla) for early breast cancer
• lorlatinib (Lorbrena) for non‒small cell lung cancer
• cemiplimab (Libtayo) for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
