Join Canadian and international health care and health technology assessment (HTA) experts from Wednesday, September 4, 2024, to Friday, September 6, 2024, for the 2024 CADTH Symposium, a 3-day hybrid event offering in-person and virtual attendance options. The in-person program will take place at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 

The theme is From Disruption to Opportunity: Embracing Change in Health Care.

The objectives of the 2024 CADTH Symposium are to:

  • provide a forum for productive discussion between parties committed to the use of evidence-informed advice and recommendations to support policy, influence practice, and improve health
  • provide education and training that builds capacity to produce and use HTA to harness the total value of technology across its complete life cycle to achieve transformative change
  • foster a better understanding about the perspectives of different health care system sectors and the challenges they face, and jointly look for solutions and new approaches that will enhance the quality and sustainability of health care in Canada.

The COVID-19 pandemic made the need for collaboration very clear. New relationships were forged, existing relationships renewed, and collaboration increased during the pandemic. In this session, the senior leaders of pan-Canadian health organizations will discuss the individual and collaborative efforts they are undertaking to support sustainable, world-class health care today and in the future.
