Éric Levesque

Éric Levesque is Associate Deputy Minister, Francophone Affairs, Pharmaceutical, Physician and Community Services (Division) Health, Province of New Brunswick

Éric Levesque has more than 20 years of experience in public policy development and analysis, as well as extensive experience in government program development and management. He began his career in the New Brunswick public service in 2002, working in the Francophonie and Official Languages branch of the Department of Intergovernmental Affairs. He was subsequently employed by Service New Brunswick and the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour before joining the Department of Health in 2011.

Since joining the Department of Health, Mr. Levesque has held progressively responsible management roles in the Health Human Resources, Policy and Legislation, and Health Services and Programs branches. He was also an integral player in New Brunswick’s COVID-19 response as Executive Director of Public Health New Brunswick.

In May 2022, Mr. Levesque was appointed Associate Deputy Minister at the New Brunswick Department of Health, where he leads the Public Health, Primary Health Care, Pharmaceutical Services, Medicare and Physician Services, and Francophone Affairs sectors.

Mr. Levesque is a graduate of the Université de Moncton and the University of New Brunswick, where he earned a Master of Business Administration. He currently resides in his hometown of Fredericton with his wife and 3 children.
