Nirmatrelvir and ritonavir are oral medications given in combination to treat Covid-19. Specifically, these medications are used to treat mild to moderate COVID-19 in patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19. CADTH conducted a review of the evidence and convened an Implementation Advice Panel to provide guidance regarding the optimal use of these medications.
