The Health Technology Trends to Watch list covers a range of new and emerging non-drug health technologies relevant to different conditions, models of health care delivery, and tools used to improve patient care.
This project aims to:
- identify a long list of health technologies or trends that have the potential to significantly impact or disrupt Canada’s health care system in the next 1 to 2 years
- take these technologies and trends to a wider group of stakeholders and prioritize those that are most important to decision-makers, patients, and clinicians, and to produce a Horizon Scanning Health Technology Trends to Watch top 10 list.
- create awareness of potentially important and disruptive health technologies and trends, and prepare decision-makers and CADTH for future assessment needs.
Technologies and trends will fit within CADTH’s definitions of medical devices and diagnostic testing; medical, surgical, or dental procedures; or other non-drug clinical interventions.
