CADTH is undertaking an Environmental Scan of the remote monitoring programs for people with chronic heart failure, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, and for people undergoing cardiac rehabilitation for acute and chronic conditions. This project is being conducted to help inform decision-making and to support the implementation of remote monitoring programs for these indications in rural, remote, and urban settings.
The key objectives of this Environmental Scan are to:
- describe the remote monitoring programs for chronic cardiac conditions and cardiac rehabilitation that are currently available for use in Canada
- describe the components of remote monitoring programs for chronic cardiac conditions and cardiac rehabilitation in Canada
- summarize the factors influencing access for remote monitoring treatment programs for chronic cardiac conditions and cardiac rehabilitation in Canada.
This Environmental Scan is a component of CADTH’s Optimal Use project Remote Monitoring Programs for Cardiac Conditions.
