CADTH Board of Directors — Member from the General Public - Call for Nominations

About CADTH

CADTH is an independent, not-for-profit organization responsible for providing Canada’s health care decision-makers with objective evidence to help make informed decisions about the optimal use of drugs and medical devices in our health care system.

Role of the Board of Directors

The Board is the primary governing body of CADTH and is accountable to the Members of the Corporation, who are the Deputy Ministers of Health for participating federal, provincial, and territorial governments. The 13-member CADTH Board of Directors is composed of an independent Chair; a regional distribution of jurisdictional federal, provincial, and territorial representatives; and a number of non-jurisdictional representatives from health authorities, academia, and the general public. Directors are elected by the Members of the Corporation.

The Board has overall responsibility for administering the affairs of the Corporation and providing the strategic direction to guide CADTH’s success as the Canadian “go-to” provider of evidence and advice on the use of drugs and other health technologies. Expenses incurred by Directors of the Board in the course of performing their CADTH duties are eligible for reimbursement, in accordance with the CADTH travel policy.
